We operate mobile services across Greater Melbourne and parts of regional and coastal Victoria. In-clinic sessions and Telehealth are also available.

Do you offer in-clinic or Telehealth options?

Yes. While mobile therapy is our specialty, we offer in-clinic sessions and Telehealth appointments where they fit better for the Participant.

What happens after a referral is submitted?

Our admin team confirms funding and details, sends a plain-language service agreement, and then your matched therapist reaches out to arrange the first session and understand your goals.

Which NDIS funding categories are used?

This depends on the service. OT typically sits under Improved Daily Living; Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology often draw on Improved Health and Wellbeing; Psychology sits under Improved Daily Living; Positive Behaviour Support under Improved Relationships. We're happy to help clarify before we start.

What should I expect in the first session?

The first session is an initial assessment. We take time to understand you, your goals, your environment and the people who support you. There's no pressure — the focus is on building a shared plan you feel good about.

How are Therapists matched to Participants?

Every referral is individually reviewed by our intake team before therapy begins. We take the time to understand your goals, location, availability and support needs, then thoughtfully match you with a Therapist whose experience, clinical strengths and working style are the best fit. Rather than simply allocating the next available clinician, we aim to create long-term therapeutic relationships that support better outcomes.

Can I choose my Therapist?

Absolutely. If you already know which Therapist you'd like to work with, we'll do our best to accommodate your preference. If you're not sure, our team will carefully guide you through the matching process to help find the right clinician for your needs.

What if my needs change over time?

Therapy often evolves as your goals change. Whether you require additional supports, a different therapy approach or access to another discipline, our multidisciplinary team can work together to ensure your care continues to meet your needs.

Can multiple Therapists work together?

Yes. Where appropriate, our Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and Psychologists work collaboratively to provide coordinated care. This helps ensure everyone involved is working towards the same goals while reducing duplication and improving communication.

Where can therapy sessions take place?

We believe therapy is most effective when it's delivered where it's most meaningful. Depending on your goals, sessions may take place at home, at school, in the workplace, community centres, day programs, parks and gardens, gyms, leisure centres, hydrotherapy pools, at our Fitzroy clinic, or via Telehealth. We'll work with you to determine the environment that best supports your goals and everyday life.

Do I need to travel to your clinic?

Not at all. Most of our services are delivered in the community, allowing therapy to occur in the environments where everyday life happens. If clinic-based sessions are more appropriate, we also offer appointments from our Fitzroy clinic.

How soon can therapy begin?

Timeframes vary depending on the discipline, your location and Therapist availability. Our intake team will discuss current availability with you and work to connect you with the most suitable Therapist as soon as possible.

Can family members, carers or Support Coordinators be involved?

Absolutely. We encourage collaboration with the important people in your support network where appropriate. Working together helps ensure therapy goals remain practical, meaningful and aligned with everyday life.

Do you provide reports and assessments?

Yes. Our clinicians complete a wide range of assessments, reports and supporting documentation where clinically appropriate. This may include Functional Capacity Assessments, progress reports, assistive technology recommendations, home modification assessments, support letters and NDIS reporting.

What happens if I need more than one Allied Health service?

One of the benefits of working with Four Point Therapy is access to a multidisciplinary team. If additional supports would be beneficial, we can coordinate care across Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and Psychology, creating a more connected experience for Participants and referrers.

Can Support Coordinators or healthcare professionals refer directly?

Yes. We regularly receive referrals from Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, Local Area Coordinators, General Practitioners, hospitals, rehabilitation providers, schools, Case Managers, family members and Participants themselves. If you're unsure about the referral process, our team is always happy to help.

Who can refer for TAC Occupational Therapy?

Referrals may be made by TAC Case Managers, hospitals, rehabilitation providers, medical practitioners, Allied Health professionals, family members or clients themselves. If you're unsure whether OT is appropriate, our team is happy to discuss the referral before services commence.

Do I need an accepted TAC claim?

Accepted Answer

In most circumstances, services are provided under an accepted TAC claim and must relate to injuries sustained in the transport accident. If you're uncertain about funding or approvals, our intake team can help clarify what's required before appointments begin.

Does TAC need to approve Occupational Therapy first?

Accepted Answer

Approval requirements vary depending on the service. Some OT intervention may already be approved, while specialised assessments, equipment, Assistive Technology, home modifications or additional intervention may require prior TAC approval. We'll help clarify requirements before progressing wherever possible.

Where can TAC appointments take place?

Appointments can be delivered in the home, workplace, community, rehabilitation settings, hospitals, our Fitzroy clinic or through Telehealth where clinically appropriate. The location is selected according to the person's goals, needs and stage of recovery.

Can family members or support people be involved in TAC therapy?

Absolutely. Where appropriate and with the client's consent, family members, carers and support workers are encouraged to participate in therapy sessions, education and planning. Supporting the wider care network often contributes to better long-term outcomes.

Do you provide TAC reports?

Yes. Where clinically appropriate or requested by TAC, our Occupational Therapists prepare professional reports outlining assessment findings, current function, progress, barriers, recommendations and future rehabilitation needs.

Can you recommend equipment under TAC?

Yes. Our Occupational Therapists assess equipment needs, coordinate trials, liaise with suppliers and provide clinical recommendations that support safety, independence and participation. Recommendations are always based on the individual's goals and clinical presentation.

Do you complete home modification assessments for TAC clients?

Yes. We assess how the home environment supports everyday function and provide recommendations ranging from simple environmental changes through to more complex home modifications where clinically appropriate.

Do you support return to work?

Yes. Occupational Therapy can assist with workplace assessments, building work capacity, fatigue management, functional task analysis, environmental recommendations and communication with employers and rehabilitation stakeholders.

Is Telehealth available for TAC clients?

Yes. Telehealth appointments are available where clinically appropriate and can be an effective option for education, reviews, planning and selected intervention.

How quickly do you respond to TAC referrals?

Our team aims to acknowledge and respond to new TAC referrals within 1-3 business days. Appointment availability then depends on clinical needs, Therapist availability and any required TAC approvals.

What happens if additional TAC therapy is required?

Recovery needs can change over time. Where additional intervention is clinically appropriate, our Occupational Therapists will review progress, discuss recommendations with the client and provide the information required to support ongoing rehabilitation planning.
